“Keep building!” Those words come from old memories of drive-in theater commercials advertising the visitor favorite Winchester Mystery House in San Jose. The words are attributed to the house’s most-famous resident, Sarah Winchester. The 24-minute direct-to-video documentary covers the history and mystery of the house and of Sarah herself. The eccentric heiress to her husband’s rifle fortune hired construction workers to work around the clock on the sprawling mansion. As the camera moves through the house, the viewer feels as if they’re touring the inside and out, discovering the secret passages or stairs that lead to nowhere.
While the award-winning video was a best seller in the attraction’s gift shop, the raw video has been seen in dozens of television shows from Travel Channel to Discovery.
